Ethnic Minority Environmental Network (EMEN) facilitated by CEMVO Scotland

We support this vision as the increase of Green Spaces have several benefits. The first being direct potential benefits to carbon sequestration in urban environments, and a potential decrease in biodiversity. We recognise this as an opportunity to further increase access to green spaces for communities that are underprivileged. Research has shown that better availability of green spaces can increase mental health for individuals. It also allows a pathway to the feeling of ownership and protection of nature for these communities.
