We've got three great films lined up for the final week of our Wee Green Screen programme.

The Human Element is an brilliant new documentary from the producers of award winning films 'Racing Extinction' and 'Chasing Ice'. Environmental photographer James Balog captures the lives of everyday people on the front lines of global environmental challenges. With rare compassion and heart, The Human Element inspires us to re-evaluate our relationship with the natural world.

Tues 8th Dec - 7pm - The Story of Plastic

Using engaging original animation, archival industry footage beginning in the 1930s, and first-hand accounts of the unfolding emergency, 'The Story of Plastic' distills a complex problem that is increasingly affecting the planet’s and its residents’ well-being. Experts and activists on the front lines of the fight, reveal the disastrous consequences of the flood of plastic smothering ecosystems and poisoning communities around the world, and the global movement that is rising up in response.

Friday 11th Dec - 7pm - Kiss the Ground

Narrated by Woody Harrelson, Kiss the Ground is a groundbreaking film that reveals how regenerating the world’s soils can rapidly stabilize Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems and create abundant food supplies. Using compelling graphics and visuals the film artfully illustrates how soil is the missing piece of the climate puzzle. This movie is positioned to catalyze a movement to accomplish the impossible to solve humanity’s greatest challenge, to balance the climate and secure our species future.
