#WeeGreenScreen - week 2

Updated: Nov 30, 2020

Our second week of #WeeGreenScreen focuses on the rise of the global fossil fuel resistance, and how making genuine connections between children and nature can revolutionise our future.

On Wed 2nd Dec we're screening 'Disobedience' - a film about a new phase of the climate movement: courageous action that is being taken on the front lines of the climate crisis on every continent, led by regular people fed up with the power and pollution of the fossil fuel industry. With COP26 now coming to Glasgow in 2021, how can link to the international grassroots action to make the transition away from fossil fuels?

Join us at 7pm for a screeing of this impactful short film. Following the film we'll be joined by Graeme Eddolls from the Glasgow COP26 coalition - https://cop26coalition.org/ - for a Q+A / discussion on how we can be part of the movement to defend our planet from climate change.

We continue on Sat 5th Dec with The Beginning of Life 2; Outdoors. This new film is currently being screened around the world with the goal of informing families, initiatives, companies and authorities with an urgent message: a life with a stronger connection to nature brings benefits to the physical and emotional health of populations in the world’s major urban centers and creates a unique opportunity for a healthier future for humans and the planet.

Following the screening we'll be joined for the Q+A by Cath Prisk, founder / director of Outdoor People, a social enterprise with a passion to get people outdoors. Previously Director of Play England, Cath is a well respected thinker and advocate for children and the outdoors. She has led large scale programmes, campaigns and research in the UK and globally, supporting children's space to play and independent mobility, supporting schools and other services and working with Governments, corporates and charities.
