We're really delighted to welcome Lateral North as the latest supporters of Glasgow National Park City.
In their own words:
At Lateral North we are always looking for new approaches to how communities can learn from each other and collaborate together to create lasting sustainable change. With climate change the biggest challenge our global community has ever faced, innovative solutions such as turning Glasgow, our home city, into a national park city, putting nature, biodiversity and health and wellbeing first, is one we thoroughly support and hope that it is something we can engage in creatively.
We are really looking forward to working with them and they are already on the case, focusing one of their summer school design competitions on creating a marketing campaign for a National Park City. Have a look and get involved.
And check out their great Glasgow in Lockdown video. We look forward to working with them and sharing all our ideas about how we can build a post-pandemic Glasgow which is Greener, Wilder and Healthier.
Lateral North are a research and design collective with innovative and strategic design thinking at it's core. We love their story, starting out as an architectural masters project at the University of Strathclyde in 2013 where they set up their ‘office’ in an empty building before eventually being told to ‘get out’! Sounds like just the kind of creativity we need to create a National Park City! Welcome to the team.
